We’re excited to share that DEGEN has officially been featured on Binance Alpha, marking another major step forward for the project and its visibility across global crypto markets.
Starting today, June 14th at 07:00 UTC, eligible Binance users with at least 245 Binance Alpha points can claim an airdrop of 13,862 DEGEN tokens through the Alpha Events page. This is a limited opportunity, and users will need to act quickly—claims must be made within 24 hours or the allocation will be forfeited. The claim itself consumes 15 Alpha points.
This isn’t just another airdrop—it’s a signal of growing recognition. Being featured on Binance Alpha places DEGEN firmly on the radar of some of the most active traders in the ecosystem. It also lays a foundation for deeper integration and potential next steps within Binance’s broader platform.
On June 19th, Binance will open up a second phase of the airdrop, lowering the threshold so that more users can participate on a first-come, first-served basis. This makes DEGEN more accessible to a wider audience, potentially expanding our community and increasing awareness across the space.
This is a milestone—not just because of the Binance brand, but because it reflects a broader momentum behind what the DEGEN community is building together.
This is just the beginning.
This isn’t just another badge drop, it’s a step toward a stronger, more engaged, and trust, rich community.
Degens, how do you see the Farcaster client landscape playing out? More like social (winner takes all) or like browsers (one big one, but others do well too)?
Probably one big winner and few niche winners like Goatcast (tweetdeck like fc client)
If it’s winner takes all then we’ve failed
Yes and no, kinda how software works. Chrome has ~65% of browser share, a few sites own most internet traffic. Farcaster’s similar: network effects reward great UX.
for now, i don't see reasons to use any other clients rather than farcaster. maybe when there's millions and millions of users, it'll make more sense — but for all 37 of us, just one client is fine.
I’d say the second option would be the most beneficial for everyone. For the whole ecosystem to thrive, clients should be different and offer unique features, no need to compete directly with the main client Like you mentioned earlier with the promoted posts feature, I think that’s a great idea. The more unique features each client brings, the higher the chance they’ll coexist, kind of like how web browsers do today
I see users picking farcaster client <warpcast> or when it releases the integrated coinbase wallet feed I can see other clients getting 5 to 10 % max of users , basically being bottom feeders
Would it be good for society if its winner takes all? Imo, if everyone has a fighting chance I’d appreciate it. At the same time, it’s good to have something to strive to: (Sort of like browsers but not as Googly)
you can do it obstacles include dev costs + constantly changing Farcaster a good client / community can beat those odds
others do well tbh, idk why one wouldn’t be open to it.. like there’s always been clients.. why look away now? personally, i’m anticipating
The latter, and similar to Twitter clients (one main official one, a few successful indie ones) before Twitter rugged them. If I were trying it, I would make one that caters to communities that just need an online space to chat, leaning on the channels feature, and have it basically not mention crypto at all. Almost like a reddit app that lets you create your subreddit and default to it, and you could send to your friends and it would onboard them to your community first and foremost Farcaster client for turbo-normie communities that wouldn’t force the rest of the existing communities/channels on them Like
That's actually exactly what we're building.
!!!
I honestly hadn’t seen any details yet, and this is really exciting tbh
winner takes all on global feed, multiple winners on communities/niche use-cases
gm degens, it's a long weekend here in Poland. Hope you're all having a great week. We've made solid progress on the degen app, big thanks to Tomek for the frontend work. Our backend dev has started on the auth flow, even though he officially joins in July. Gonna be fun!
Should’ve tagged him, @tstomek is our frontend maestro.
Thank you @tstomek
Nice! So what's the stack then? Still planning on doing a PWA app or smth else?
It’ll be an iOS app to start. You can read a bit more about it here: https://blog.degen.tips/degen-featured-on-binance-alpha

Definitely excited to see what’s coming!!!🎩🤙
i’m super excited for this
I like to play with the Degen brand as if there were some master plan behind it, but in reality, it’s all about improvisation and the connections that pop up in each creativity. What I love is that there’s no pressure with @jacek—he has a need, and I just try to offer the best option using the resources I enjoy experimenting with. Collaboration announcements with Roman busts, animals, glass effects, purple hats, binance yellow… I just throw out concepts and let them flow. Does this make sense? Have you ever found yourselves designing this way too? https://blog.degen.tips/degen-featured-on-binance-alpha
🙌🎩
That's super LITTTT🔥🔥
